The Thai world No.9 stunned the Japanese holder 14-21, 21-15, 21-19 to win the champion. Ratchanok said she dedicated the title to the late King Bhumibol. Ratchanok beat top seed and world No.1 Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan 21-14, 20-22, 21-14, while Yamaguchi battled back to defeat Chen Yufei of China in Saturday's semi-finals.
